New research by Econsultancy has revealed that a significant number of consumers prefer to purchase items on desktops rather than mobile devices.
Based on a Toluna survey of 1,000 UK consumers, the research highlights that 64% of smartphone users don’t tend to shop online using their mobile phones, due to its too-small screen (41%) and concerns over security (39%).
The research also revealed those purchase goods with mobiles tend to purchase books (43%), with clothes in a close second at 42% and music at 40%.
Consumers are increasingly making use of their ability to utilise multiscreen options, tending to initially use their mobiles to research products, before finally purchasing them on a desktop.
