MRM Partners Gets Director of Digital Innovation

Former Digitas exec joins the McCann CRM agency.

MRM Partners, the CRM (define) unit of McCann Worldgroup, has brought aboard former Digitas exec Greg Johnson to provide leadership in the digital marketing space. Johnson’s official title is EVP, global director of digital innovation.

Johnson will work closely with key clients, such as Microsoft, and with all MRM and Zentropy Partners offices to ensure they’re getting the most out of digital media. He’ll be based in San Francisco.

“Our clients are demanding more marketing innovation with digital solutions for managing customer relationships,” said Reuben Hendell, CEO of MRM Partners, in a statement.

At Digitas, Johnson most recently held the position of president of marketing agency services before he left in September, shortly after the firm announced plans for a merger with Modem Media. Prior to that, he was president of Digitas Europe. He also previously served as chief creative officer. Prior to joining Digitas, he worked at Poppe Tyson Interactive (which also merged with Modem Media) and founded Magnet Interactive.

MRM Partners’ clients include Avaya, Coca-Cola, General Motors, L’Oréal, MasterCard, Nestlé Unilever, and UPS. Its parent, McCann Worldgroup, is part of the Interpublic Group of Companies.
