According to Reed Marketing & Creative’s annual Salary Study, which surveyed 2,417 industry insiders, an average 20% of UK marketers are also seeking new horizons within the next year.
Comparatively, only 29% managers admitted to worrying about losing talented individuals from the organisation – despite the dizzying numbers of discontent marketers.
In addition to job satisfaction, research further found that creative directors in London made between £55,000 – £85,000, while digital account directors were on salaries between £45,000 and £80,000.
Catherine Maskell, head of marketing at Reed, credits the escalating job hunt with a strengthening economy – with confidence, marketers are more comfortable to look around.
“What this also reveals, however, is that with security comes confidence, which in turn encourages people to think about their next move, so employers need to be able to respond to this quickly to stop talent jumping ship,” she added.
