According to a new report, only one fifth of companies are planning to increase traditional budgets this year, compared to the 71% planning on upping their digital marketing spend, as the power of social and content marketing continues to dominate.
The Marketing Budgets Report 2014 from Econsultancy and Responsys found that 60% of client-side respondents would be increasing their overall marketing budgets this year, compared to 54% in 2013 and 47% in 2010.
The average increase in digital marketing budgets is reportedly around 27%, with 12% looking to increase their budgets by more than 50%.
