Verizon’s SuperPages.com is jumping on the review bandwagon, adding a feature that lets users review restaurants, hair salons, plumbers and other local businesses. The move is a bid to add utility to SuperPages’ local information, as it angles for local ad dollars.
As a number of different sites — Yahoo!, Judy’s Book, Insider Pages, etc. — struggle to get users to submit reviews, doesn’t review-fatigue set in? As a consumer, I know I’m only going to review Jodie’s Restaurant down the street a couple of times. Which sites will be the ones to successfully create that community?
