Snapchat: Introduces 3V Advertising

Evan Spiegel, the 24-year-old boss behind Snapchat, has confirmed the app has adopted the 3v - "vertical video views" - approach to video advertising in a bid to boost ad revenue.

Evan Spiegel, the 24-year-old boss behind Snapchat, has confirmed the app has adopted the 3V – “vertical video views” – approach to video advertising in a bid to boost ad revenue.

Spiegel said the company really cares “about not being creepy” and hopes 3V advertising will slot into Snapchat content, as opposed to traditional forms of advertising.

“We love when the advertising fits the context of the story we are telling,” said Spiegel.
