A new study from YouGov has revealed that Father Christmas and his elves are in for one hell of a busy season if they are to gather up enough technology to produce the 4m tablets that digitally-savvy Brits say they will be purchasing this winter.
Commissioned by Newsworks, the data reported that 2.9m consumers said they will be buying a tablet this Christmas, with 1.3m people set to receive one as a gift. Those aged 35-44 age were reported as the most likely to purchase the device for another, and those aged 18-24 being the most common receivers of the gift.
A whopping 16.5m Brits already own the travel-friendly device, with these latest figures sure to further the highlight the necessity of ensuring that brand websites are tablet and mobile friendly, lest companies risk losing out on potential consumers.
