Apple’s diversity report for fiscal 2015 is out, revealing that like many others in the tech industry, the company’s workforce is mostly male and white.
Figures show some signs of improvement, however. The report reveals that compared with its US hires in fiscal 2014, it hired 66% more Hispanic employees and 50% more black employees in the US in 2015. Globally, it hired 65% more women than in 2014.
In a letter announcing the new report, CEO Tim Cook shared that Apple hired 11,000 women globally between June 2014 and June 2015. Check out the infographics Apple released with the report:
