The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will open up the web to domains, .porn, .adult and .sucks in June.
Pop princess Swift purchased TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult before the latest wave became available to the public 1 June in a bid to block copycats from stealing their trademarks.
ICANN has invited brands and prominent individuals to purchase domain names ahead of opening domains to the public.
ICANN says that “over 1,300 new names or ‘strings’ could become available in the next few years”.
