Tech companies dominate top spots in BrandZ Top 100 rankings

Recent figures released in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands have shown that advanced and high-tech technology companies that understand how best to promote their brand online are reaping the benefits in terms of brand-recognition with consumers.

Recent figures released in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands have shown that advanced and high-tech technology companies that understand how best to promote their brand online are reaping the benefits in terms of brand-recognition with consumers.

Topping the chart at number one in the survey, which was commissioned by WPP and conducted by Millward Brown Optimor, was Apple.

Almost as recognised were fellow technology giants, Google and IBM, which came second and third respectively.

Three companies full of experts who each boast an in-depth and complex understanding of how to use digital marketing and social media to promote their particular brands, these powerful firms perhaps have an unfair advantage over brand such as soft-drinks leader Coca-Coca, which came in fifth place.
