Twitter's newly launched event calendar will make it easier for brands to plan ahead for advertising pushes around important dates, the social media site said.
A new event calendar, announced today by Twitter, will make it easier for brands to plan ahead for advertising pushes on the social media site.
The calendar will highlight major events — from sports games and music festivals to national holidays like Mother’s Day — across the US, UK, Japan and Brazil to help brands plan and implement campaigns around live moments.
As Dinkar Jain, senior product manager, wrote in a company blog post: “We’ll help you discover and plan for these moments, learn more about the participating audiences through valuable insights and, with just one click, create a campaign that delivers the right message to just the right users as the event unfolds.”
Brands can filter their calendars by location, date and event type and will have access to the previous years’ audience data.
According to The Drum Twitter has been testing the feature with global agency MEC, tech company SocialCode and Mindshare UK.
