Agency.com has promoted the heads of two regional offices to replace recently departed president and CEO Don Scales.
Climbing into the top slot is David Eastman, previously managing director of the agency’s London office. Chicago Managing Partner Dave Johnson will become the company’s president.
Eastman has overseen work for the agency’s British Airways, Dulux and John Lewis accounts in the U.K. He’ll relocate to New York once his replacement is named, though his priorities will include an expansion of business in Europe, the company said.
Johnson, who will stay in Chicago, came to Agency.com through its 1998 acquisition of Digital Vision Communications, a shop he founded in 1995. His accounts have included HP, Grainger and ABN AMRO.
Scales resigned one month ago over “strategic differences,” according to a spokesperson. He ascended to the helm of Agency.com in July 2004, following the resignation of longtime CEO and founder Chan Suh. Suh remains chairman of Agency.com, which is a subsidiary of Omnicom network TBWA Worldwide.
