This quarter saw Lenovo become the world’s number 1 PC maker and number 4 smartphone provider, as it recorded the fastest growth among the top five vendors, increasing by a huge 132%.
Lenovo announced that its fiscal first quarter, which ended June 30, “combined shipments of smartphones and tablets surpassed PCs for the first time ever during the quarter, demonstrating the momentum of these two businesses.”
The quarter resulted in $8.8 billion in revenues for the company.
