Founding CEO Meir Zohar returns to native Israel, but will continue to work for the company.
Founding CEO of eXelate Meir Zohar is stepping down from that post. His replacement is Mark Zagorski, formerly the company’s chief revenue officer.
EXelate operates an open marketplace for audience targeting data called the eXelate eXchange. The New York-based company completed a second round of funding last week that it had begun in August for a total of $16 million from Menlo Ventures, Carmel Ventures and Trident Capital.
Meir Zohar will return to Israel, his home country, for personal reasons, according to an eXelate release. He will continue to hold an executive role with the company.
Zagorski joined eXelate, which launched in Israel four years ago, as chief revenue officer in 2008. Prior to that he was EVP and CMO at MediaSpan.
“I look forward to continuing to execute against Meir’s market-leading vision and further cementing eXelate as the industry standard engine powering audience data access,” said Zagorski in the release.
