The creative tech wizards at Apple set 15 camera crews armed with iPhones an exciting mission on January 24th to celebrate the 30th birthday of Mac – to capture footage of “people doing amazing things with Apple products” from across the globe.
70 hours of footage was recorded in al, and streamed back to a command post in LA in real-time. There, the project’s director was able to make special requests over FaceTime and guide videographers, before the footage was stitched together and given an original score on a Mac.
“From beginning to end, every facet of this production was made possible by innovations that trace their lineage back to the original Macintosh in 1984,” Apple explained.
