Reuters adds digital vets to sales and research teams; Real Branding hires two.
Reuters hired digital veterans to fill three sales and research positions. Marc Walker, formerly of Knight Ridder Digital’s Real Cities Network, joins as Reuters Midwest account director in Chicago. Northeast Account Executive Alison Rayfield was previously with Advertising.com and will be based in Reuters’ NYC headquarters. Sumita Singh, meanwhile, joins the Media division as VP and global head of marketing insights. She did stints with Web MD, About.com, and New York Magazine.
San Francisco interactive agency Real Branding hired Marti Funk as media director and Patricia Galea as group account director. Funk was a media director with Carat Fusion. Galea served stints with Team One/Saatchi & Saatchi, RPA and Agency.com.
European ad management company Adtech opened a New York City office and signed Fotolog.com as its first customer. The deal marks Fotolog’s first use of an ad server since its 2002 launch. Adtech’s U.S. office is led by Nils Winkler.
The Travel Ad Network hired Neil Strow as senior director of East Coast sales. Strow opened and ran TiVo’s New York Sales office.
Zoove put Richard Wong on its board of directors. Wong is VP of corporate strategy and business development at Openwave Systems and previously worked for Covad, McKinsey & Co. and Proctor & Gamble.
