JWT has poached two big names in digital creative, luring Jeff Benjamin away from Crispin, Porter + Bogusky and Mike Geiger from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
Benjamin, 36, (pictured) made his name as CP+B’s interactive creative director and eventually became chief creative officer and partner. Last year, he chaired the Cyber Jury at the Cannes Lions festival of creativity.
Geiger, 44, was Goodby’s chief digital officer. As JWT N.A.’s chief integration officer –
a newly created role – his mandate includes “changing processes, adding capabilities and merging cultures to deliver cutting-edge technological innovation at scale.”
“The size and scale of the creative opportunity, as well as the transformation potential, was irresistible. I’ve known both David and Jeff for a while and the moment felt right,” Geiger (pictured) said in a statement.
Both men report to Worldwide CEO Bob Jeffrey and North America CEO David Eastman.
Simultaneously, JWT bid farewell to Peter Nicholson, its chief creative officer in New York. New leadership will be named “in the coming weeks,” it said.
