John Lewis, the luxury department store, has released a celebratory trip down memory lane in honour of its 150th birthday.

The nostalgic piece is titled ‘Never Standing Still’ – looking back on the store’s lifespan alongside an ever-evolving British society.
The Adam & Eve/DDB created spot has been set to a cover of ‘This Time Tomorrow’ by The Kinks performed by former Supergrass singer Gaz Coombes.
Craig Inglis, marketing director at John Lewis, said in a statement ahead of the ad’s release: “In this very important year for us, this campaign celebrates how our customers’ lives have kept moving over the last 150 years and the role that John Lewis has played in moving with them.”
The first It is set to be aired during ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday 3 May.
