Flying is pretty cool. Travelling across the world through different time zones transports many from their ordinary lives at home to Time Lords of the Sky. Unless you fly with ‘Blah Airlines’ that is.
A tedious trip can be enhanced or soothed by an airline, according to this new campaign from Virgin America, which highlights the pain of bad seat on a ‘boring’ airline.
Filmed from the perspective of one passenger, the test of endurance recreates a hellish flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to San Francisco in five hours and 45 minutes. Created by Eleven San Francisco, the entirety of the flight in real-time is mapped.
Featuring an aeroplane’s typical cast; a nasally flight attendant, a child trapped in a lifelong staring-competition curse and an intoxicated female neighbour accompanies the poor traveller.

Virgin America’s campaign is accompanied by an equally dull website and social media and even a dedicated hotline.
With nearly 400,000 views on YouTube so far, perhaps ‘Blah Airlines’ has a consumer-base…
