ŠKODA UK has launched a first-of-its-kind interactive video that allows viewers to create a completely personalised experience in a bid to drive awareness to its new Fabia model.
Aiming to target consumers who are looking to buy a small family car, the interactive video player focuses on four key pillars: Functionality, Roominess, Practicality and Design.
The interactive video player lets users make their own video experience of the new ŠKODA Fabia, based on what they really want to know about it.

Presented by Carbuyer host Mat Watson, the viewer can choose to watch details about the car’s interior, and the style and colour of the model, to the size of the boot and Carbuyer’s signature water bottle test.
Erica Vernon, National Communications manager, at ŠKODA UK said: “The campaign designed by Dennis Digital is fantastic and hits just the right tone for ŠKODA. The videos are entertaining, yet informative, and consistently convey the key points from our campaign.
Ariana Dunne, Strategic Advertising Manager, at Dennis Publishing said: “This level of interaction has never been achieved before – the aim was to empower the user to make the right purchasing choice thanks to a more targeted, engaging advertising campaign. ”
The campaign is live in February and will run until March 31st. It will feature on autoexpress.co.uk, carbuyer.co.uk and in Auto Express print and tablet editions.

The video above isn’t interactive and there’s no obvious link to where the interactive video is. It’s a fail on Youtube!
Where exactly can the video be seen? The YouTube video doesn’t include any of the personalisation so is pretty much redundant.
Can’t even find the interactive version in searches. This is going down as a fail.

OK so the carbuyer link http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/skoda-fabia/design-your-own-video works. Full marks for effort and for trying something new, however the actual execution is disappointing. Why send a press release with the non-interactive Youtube version?
This is not personalised at all. It just gives us the option to select what video we want to watch!
This is not what I expected when I clicked on the post – the execution was a bit disappointing.
