In an attempt to appeal to the Millennial demographic, Honda have enlisted the help of director Jason Reitman (JunoUp In The Air) to create their latest ad. In the Pilot Elite SUV ad, a bored-looking family in a car suddenly start singing Weezer’s ‘Buddy Holly’ – which is pretty similar to this scene in Step Brothers. 

“The sort of ironic thing is that millennials are aging,” assistant vice president of advertising for Honda US Tom Peyton told Brandchannel. “We’ve sometimes got to catch ourselves in internal meetings when we talk about this hyper-youth target, because the older end of the millennial range is a 35-year-old who is raising a family and looking at family vehicles. That’s why our marketing has to be more fun and youthful than in the past.”
