Burberry launches last-minute personalised gift advice via Twitter

In a bid to scoop up business from the less prepared consumer, Burberry followers can tweet for inspiration using the #BurberryGifts hashtag.

Fashion powerhouse Burberry has launched a personalised last-minute gift advice service on Twitter.

In a bid to scoop up business from the less prepared consumer, Burberry Twitter followers can tweet for inspiration using  the #BurberryGifts hashtag.

The hashtag is being monitored by a team of Burberry-elves (customer service staff) 24 hours a day, who will respond with personalised suggestions, either publicly or via direct message.

In the latest social push from the British brand, Burberry’s latest experiment further explores the limits of social consumerism  – following its bold attempts at e-commerce on Twitter, and real-time imaging from fashion shows.
