As part of its recent “Where will happiness strike next?” project, Coca-Cola has released a new online ad revealing how it successfully brought some colour back into the life of an otherwise grey city square.
The latest instalment in its feel-good global campaign sees a bright red Coca-Cola truck deliver a lush green pop-up park, in the shape of a coca-cola bottle (of course), to a dull grey square. Equipped with vending machines full of bottles of coke, given to those who obeyed the instruction ‘“Take Off Your Shoes To Open Happiness”, the ad sees people from all walks of life gather to enjoy the drink together.
Created with Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, the ad highlights that, despite recently getting knocked off its 13-year status as the world’s most valuable brand in this year’s Interbrand survey, Coca-Cola has not yet lost its talent at creating incredibly well-executed advertising campaigns.
Christy Amador, Coca-Cola global digital brand strategist, commented: “This is one of my favorite “Where Will Happiness Strike Next?” executions. The concept is so simple, yet uplifting – It perfectly demonstrates our strategy – and you can’t help but smile as you watch it!”
