As the digital world continues its uncompromising consumption of commerce, the end of the paper receipt could be nigh, as a Kickstarter campaign seeks funding for a digital alternative.
As the digital world continues its uncompromising consumption of commerce, the end of the paper receipt could be nigh, as a new kickstarter campaign seeks funding for a ‘revolutionary’ new product called Ceipt.
Predicted to become the 21st century receipt, the digital alternative will enable consumers to store their purchase history all in one place.
With the Ceipt card a consumer can save all of their purchase history on one card. Details of the purchases will then be stored in the Ceipt online account, or in the cloud, so they can be accessed at any time they are needed via smartphone, computer or tablet.
The initiative could also have applications for marketers similar to loyalty cards. The card could allow businesses to offer promotions direct to their customers by tracking consumer activity and reacting with targeted marketing efforts.
The campaign will run until Sunday, September 3, 2014 and backers can invest in Ceipt for as little as £1.
