KFC mocks 'rich kids' of Instagram in Smart Menu plug

In a bid to promote value KFC goods, the fast food brand has taken to trolling the vulgar 'rich kids' of Instagram to highlight the contrasting beauty of the humble fried chicken.

In a bid to promote value KFC goods, the fast food brand has taken to trolling the vulgar ‘rich kids’ of Instagram to highlight the contrasting beauty of the humble fried chicken.

The campaign push from KFC Romania, created by MRM Romania, promotes the Smart Menu, a low priced KFC meal deal.

Youngsters are encouraged to review the #richkidsofinstagram vulgarity, and recreate some more, lower-budget alternatives using the hashtag #distractiepebaniputini (which translates from the Romanian as “fun with little money”).

The brand has created a standalone tumblr page to neatly present the comparative images. The results range from diamonds Vs plasters, helicopters swapped for toy models and Ferrari’s against…non-Ferrari’s.
