Microsoft Lumia launches creative campaign, #TileArt

Microsoft Lumia has teamed up with creative collaboration platform Talenthouse to offer artists, illustrators and graphic designers the chance to create original art as part of the #TileArt app launch.

Microsoft Lumia is offering artists, illustrators and graphic designers the chance to create original art as part of the #TileArt app launch, in collaboration with creative collaboration platform Talenthouse.

To enter, creatives have until Tuesday 24 February to showcase how their artwork would look on a Lumia phone. Four selected artists will then be chosen by a panel of judges from Microsoft and the Talenthouse community to receive a Digital Artists Kit, which included a Luma 930 (or Icon), a Surface Pro 3, $1,500 and their portfolio features in the #TileArt gallery.

Ricc Webb, mischief maker at Microsoft Mobile, commented:

“The #TileArt app was created to bring amazing themes and customisation tools to all Lumia owners. We’re looking for bold, intelligent and exciting designs that completely transform what Lumia phones could look like. Anything goes, stylistically – from paint, pencil and comic book art through to tattoo designs and cardboard cut outs.”

Talenthouse co-founder, Maya Bogle, added:

“Brands like Microsoft are partnering Talenthouse to empower, support and reward the world’s creative community, and open doors to vital new career opportunities for them. This partnership allows creative everywhere to connect with one of the world’s biggest and best-loved brands, make money from their art and showcase their work to millions of people around the world.”
