Swiss Online Population Growing

According to Swiss audit bureau WEMF, 1.179 million Swiss have accessed the Internet. This represents 16 percent of the overall population. Of those users, 436,000 report daily usage and 971,000 report they use the Net once a month.

According to Swiss audit bureau WEMF, 1.179 million Swiss have accessed the Internet. This represents 16 percent of the overall population. Of those users, 436,000 report daily usage and 971,000 report they use the Net once a month.

These findings are based on a survey of 8,311 people age 14 and over in May and August of 1998.
