Budweiser was forced to apologise after strapping bottles with a slogan claiming it’s “the perfect beer for removing ‘no’ from your vocabulary for the night”.

The slogan has been called “offensive”, “rapey”, “lecherous” and “promoting alcohol-fuelled rape culture”, by the online community, reports Huffingtonpost.

The questionable tagline features on bottles as part of the Anheuser-Busch owed brand’s ‘Up for Whatever’ campaign.

One Tweeter suggested the slogan made it the “Official Beer of Rape Culture”.

A spokesperson commented: “It’s clear that this message missed the mark, and we regret it. We would never condone disrespectful or irresponsible behavior.”
