Robert Downey Jnr fronts new HTC campaign

Taiwanese smartphone and tablet creator HTC has employed Hollywood's highest-paid actor, Robert Downey Jnr, to head its new campaign that aims to emphasise HTC's technical features under the strapline ‘Here’s to change’.

Taiwanese smartphone and tablet creator HTC has employed Hollywood’s highest-paid actor, Robert Downey Jnr, to head its new campaign that aims to emphasise HTC’s technical features under the strapline ‘Here’s to change’.

Two teaser trailers have already appeared online, and it is rumoured that the company has paid up to $12 million for the actor to appear in the campaign, their largest ever marketing investment.

The latest clip shows the actor playing the role of a flamboyant creative director in charge of coming up with new acronyms for the company, suggesting “Huge Tinfoil Catamaran” to a eagerly awaiting roundtable of execs. Check it out below:
