Irn-Bru continues #GetsYouThrough campaign with 'Crack on' slot

Created by The Leith Agency, the ad shows how a good gulp of Irn-Bru can get you through the embarrassment of a train toilet door unexpectedly opening when in use.

Irn-Bru has launched the latest ad in its “Gets You Through” campaign depicting a fear we all dread: the sliding door of a train toilet.

Created by The Leith Agency, the ad shows how a good gulp of Irn-Bru can get you through the embarrassment of a train toilet door unexpectedly opening when in use.

However, its creators have been forced to defend the creative-integrity of the ad after comedian Janey Godley claimed the brand had ripped off her “crack on” joke during an audition process.

A spokesperson for Irn-Bru told The Drum: “We met lots of budding comedians during the creative stage for our new Irn-Bru ad. ‘Bottoms up’ was almost as popular as ‘crack-on’. It’s good to know our consumers share our sense of humour.”
