India's biggest beer brand - Kingfisher - enlisted the help of virtual reality and adrenaline to transport fans on the Oculus Rift “Beer Coaster”.

India’s biggest beer brand – Kingfisher – enlisted the help of virtual reality and adrenaline to transport fans on the Oculus Rift  “Beer Coaster”.

Thirsty and terrified fans were rewarded with a beer from the Good Times Dispenser if their pulses raced fast enough. The stunt was accompanied by excitable social activity as fans took to Twitter to share their heart-racing experience at India’s biggest beer festival.

VR is an exciting arena in which brands are beginning to make concerted marketing efforts. Will VR marketing take off in 2015?
