Topshop launches Instagram & Facebook powered social catwalk

Digitial leader Topshop has launched its Spring/Summer 2015 collection on Facebook and Instagram, accompanied by an interactive triple-screen installation in its Oxford Circus store.

This weekend, instead of launching on a runway, digitial leader Topshop has launched its spring/summer 2015 collection on Facebook and Instagram.

Five influential Instagram users have curated and shared their own view of the new collections across Topshop’s digital channels and in the retailer’s flagship Oxford Circus store and, to add to the social runway campaign, customers were invited to showcase their own looks using the hashtag #TOPSHOPWINDOW.

A triple screen installation in store showcased the images from both consumers and the handpicked Instagram collaborators. Consumers were able to interact with the image on the installation screens from the street. The retailer claims the move will be the ‘world’s first fashion show created by Instagram imagery’.
